Finding a Place to Live

With its large student population, Boston boasts a wide variety of apartments and other rental housing. However, finding the right place to live – when and where you want – can sometimes be a challenge.

Apartments and Other Housing: The Tufts University School of Medicine provides a very useful list of online resources for those seeking apartments and other housing. The Tufts Off-Campus Housing Resource Center also provides information on searching for housing, roommates and furniture, as well as information on navigating the process. The Office of International Affairs Handbook includes additional housing information.

Hotels: When international graduates and students first arrive, or to accommodate visiting family or friends from home, they may need accommodations for short stays. Boston and communities near our hospital affiliates outside the city offer many options. Here is a list of hotels close to TUSM and, below, useful online resources for finding the right hotel and booking rooms.

Hostel: Another short-day option is the new HI-Boston hostel, which offers very reasonably priced accommodations on Stuart Street, within easy walking distance of Tufts University School of Medicine and public transportation.
