BRIAN FILON MEMORIAL SYMPOSIUM
DEPRESSION AND AGING: THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE
Sackler Room 114
A symposium about mental health, addressing specifically the global epidemic of Depression, and focusing on one of the fastest growing population groups, whom, at the same time, is also one of most affected by depression: the older adults (people over 60 years of age). We will discuss and reflect on Depression and older adults aiming that all of us are better informed about depression, its causes and possible consequences, including suicide, and what help is or can be available for prevention and treatment, considering that those of us, colleagues, friends and family of people living with depression are able to provide support.
