Xudong Li to Join IPP in September 2016
Xudong Li, PhD, has accepted an Assistant Professor position in IPP and plans to arrive this coming September. Dr. Li studies molecular mechanisms underlying Treg functional specialization and adaptation to microenvironments, and how its dysregulation contributes to inflammatory disorders, including autoimmune disease and cancer. His lab will use a novel experimental framework that integrates conventional approaches and a set of powerful, efficient, and versatile CRISPR-based tools. He is currently at the Salk Institute.
IPP Welcomes Pilar Alcaide
Pilar Alcaide, PhD has joined the IPP faculty as of May 1, 2016. Dr. Alcaide focuses her research on the areas of immunology, vascular biology and cardiac physiology to study several aspects of recruitment of T lymphocytes in diverse inflammatory settings, with a particular focus in the heart in the context of heart failure. Most recently she was an Assistant Professor of Medicine and based in the Molecular Cardiology Institute at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Alcaide's laboratory is located on Jaharis 5.
