The Basic Science Division of the Department of Pathology engages in research and teaching at the medical, dental and veterinary schools.
Immunology and its role in normal physiology and in disease is the focus of most of the research in the department.
The Flow Cytometry core and the Study Center for the Immunogenetics of Infectious Disease are located within our department and offers services and training to faculty, students, fellows and staff across our campus and beyond.
The department is the administrative home to two Sackler PhD Programs. Both the Immunology PhD Program and the Genetics PhD Program are administered by our department.
