Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery

Teaching Activities:

Students are taught the method of the otolaryngological examination during the physical diagnosis course.

Clerkships Electives:

During the third-year clerkship in general surgery each student spends one week of the clinical specialties rotation in the otolaryngology department.

Fourth-year students can take a one month elective at several of the Tufts clinical partners and in the private offices of practicing otolaryngologists.

Residencies:

Tufts Medical Center’s Department of Otolaryngology offers a postgraduate residency training program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The program is dedicated to the training for clinical and academic careers involving disorders of the head and neck. Clinical and administrative responsibilities are progressively advanced throughout the post-graduate years.  Applications for the residency program are performed through the NRMP.
