Carney Hospital is a 159-bed acute care community teaching hospital affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine. The hospital sponsors three Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-(ACGME) accredited programs including a three-year internal medicine residency, a one-year preliminary medicine internship and a one-year transitional year internship.
Carney faculty members are dedicated to Carney’s long tradition of clinical and academic excellence. Members of the medical staff are actively involved in educating medical students as well as residents, and hold academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine. The hospital supports a full service medical library staffed by a full-time medical librarian.
