North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) is located on the North Shore of Boston and is the second largest community hospital system in Massachusetts. It includes multiple hospitals and physician offices, as well as outpatient and urgent care sites. It offers comprehensive medical and surgical services, including adult and pediatric emergency departments on the Salem campus, and an adult emergency department at NSMC Union Hospital. Also on the Salem campus are a Cardiac Point of Entry Center and a Level III Trauma Center. Both NSMC Salem Hospital and NSMC Union Hospital are designated Stroke Centers

NSMC’s medical staff includes nearly 700 affiliated physicians representing primary care, family practice and 50 additional sub-specialties.

North Shore Physicians Group (NSPG) is affiliated with North Shore Medical Center. NSPG is a network of multi-specialty and primary care physicians serving individuals and families in 17 North Shore locations.

NSMC is a member of Partners HealthCare, founded by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.

NSMC maintains strong clinical collaborations with Massachusetts General Hospital, working together to offer advanced inpatient and outpatient cancer care, as well as breast health, cardiology, imaging, OB/GYN, orthopedics, otolaryngology, pediatrics, primary care, surgery and urology services.
