MDC SpectraMax M5

The SpectraMax M5 is a high speed multi-mode multi-format reader. It can read absorbance, bioluminescence, standard fluorescence intensity as well as time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) and fluorescence polarization (PI). It can read from standard cuvette, assay tube and multi-well plate ranging from 6 to 384 wells. This specification allow the SpectraMax M5 to handle convention colormetric assays perform in multi-well plate, and the emerging fluorescence and bioluminescence-based HTS assays for specific cellular events such as kinase/phosphatase specific activity measurement and cell cycle/apoptosis and many more.  MDC SpectraMax M5
Molecular Devices introduced the SpectraMax® M5, a five mode multi-detection microplate reader system, the latest addition to the company’s popular SpectraMax product line. The system has primary applications for fluorescence intensity, absorbance, luminescence, Time-Resolved Fluorescence (TRF) and Fluorescence Polarization (FP) assays. The optical performance is comparable to top-of-the-line dedicated pectrophotometer, luminometer or spectrofluorometer with no trade-off in instrument performance for the individual read modes. Life science and drug discovery researchers can now address five detection modes in one powerful, compact instrument. The SpectraMax M5 is a dualmonochromator multi-mode microplate reader including a multi-mode cuvette port. The system allows users the flexibility to choose each wavelength between 200 nm and 1000 nm. The SpectraMax M5 supports 6 -384well standard microplates
to read endpoint, kinetic, spectrum, multi-wavelength and well-area scanning with top- or bottom-read optics. With this outstanding flexibility, the system is well suited for numerous assays such as:
