Immunizations FAQ

Who is required to submit immunization documentation?
All registered students are required to submit immunization documentation.

Am I able to complete my Immunization File once I start school?
No, all students are required to submit their completed Immunization File by their given deadline, prior to starting school.

Is there a health center on campus?
No, there is not a Health Center on Campus. You should go to your Doctor for Medical Services.

Where can I receive my flu vaccine?
You can go to your doctor or to any local pharmacy that provides flu vaccination (CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens).

Who needs a TB test, and is it annual?
All Dental, Medical and Nutrition students are required to submit an annual TB Test. Public Health and Sackler students are required to submit one TB test prior to starting school.  Veterinary students are not required to submit a TB test.

I received a reminder/overdue notice for my annual TB test, where can I have this planted and read?
You should make an appointment with your doctor. Otherwise can go to any of the following Medical Resources.

 

I received a reminder/overdue notice for my hepatitis B antibody titer. Where can have this blood work done?
You can make an appointment with your doctor. IF you do not have a doctor in the area, you can try Mass General Walk-In Unit, they accepts most insurance policies.

My rabies antibody titer came back negative, what do I do?
You will need to receive a booster dose. If your doctor is unable to order this vaccine, you are able to go to Milford Regional Medical Center’s Occupational Health Office. They do not do third party billing, you will have to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed (depending on your insurance policy).
