Our office supports the following programs: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Physician Assistant (PA), Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Health Informatics and Analytics (HIA), and Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MBS). There are a number of ways for employers to connect with and hire students and alumni from our programs.

Utilize Handshake
You can post a job on Handshake. All of our students have access to Handshake and search regularly for job openings. We also share jobs posted on Handshake in our weekly newsletter that is sent to students and alumni.

Each week, we put out a weekly newsletter which is sent to students and alumni highlighting current job opportunities. You can email your job to alisha.kelly@tufts.edu, and it can be shared in our next newsletter.
Highlight your organization in our Employer Spotlight
Employers can provide a multi-media spotlight of their organization that will be distributed through our weekly newsletter. The more students know about your organization, the better chance of them applying to your jobs. The Spotlight can include video, text, links, downloads, and more. Visit a Career Fair to hire a Tufts student or alumni
We host two virtual career fairs, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Our Fall Career Fair is focused on the following programs: Doctor of Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Master of Public Health, and Master of Science in Health Informatics and Analytics. The Spring Career Fair is jointly held with Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and will invite students from all of our programs.
Our Career Fairs include an Employer Expo which gives a selection of early registered employers the ability to present to a large group of students. The time slots are typically 10-15 minutes and are the perfect opportunity to share the unique and glowing reasons why Tufts students should want to work for you.

The next Spring career fair will be held on February 9, 2024. This career fair is a joint effort with Tufts University School of Medicine Graduate Programs, Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition, and Tufts Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The fair is held virtually every year. More information including registration details will be available in the Fall.

Host clinical affiliations or practicum students

Tufts PA students are require to complete four- to five-week rotations in core clinical disciplines such as Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health, Behavioral Medicine, Family Medicine, and Orthopedics.
These rotations will take place at various clinical sites in the surrounding area, and students are under the direct supervision of their clinical preceptor.

Students in Tufts DPT programs (Boston and Phoenix) complete a total of 31 weeks of full-time clinical education.

Our Master of Public Health and Master of Sciences in Health Informatics and Analytics students are required to complete field work referred to as Applied Practice Experience (APE) and Capstone, respectively. Both the APE and Capstones offer students an opportunity to integrate and apply public health knowledge and skills gained in the classroom to a real-world public health problem.
Hosting a Practicum or Capstone project is a great opportunity for organizations looking for experienced and enthusiastic students to help with their work.
Students can help research, implement, and evaluate a program or initiative at your organization. This is also a great way to help train the next generation of public health and health care professionals and give students real-world experiences to help them excel in the future.

Many of the students in the Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) program are looking for glide year opportunities. A glide year is the one-year some students take before being admitted to Medical, Dental, or other professional degree programs. During a glide year, students are looking to gain experience and exposure to health care in their respective fields of interest.
If you frequently hire for one-year roles that work for a glide year student, you can be added to our Glide Year Employer list which is shared with MBS students as they begin searching for a glide year opportunity. Let us know you want to be added to the list by emailing alisha.kelly@tufts.edu.
