High Volume Learning Tips for Adjusting to Medical School
High Volume Learning Tips for Adjusting to Medical School is a series of workshops lead by second year students to help first year students adjust to the Tufts School of Medicine curriculum. The workshops are small group sessions on topics including:
- How to use One note
- Studying multiple classes one exam
- Using Anki effectively
- How to maximize the utility of practice tests/quizzes
- Studying in a pair/group
*The workshops are offered at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.

Workshops
Stepping Towards Success: Step 1 Guidance from Fourth-Year Students
The OSA is pleased to bring you a series of Step 1 workshops called Stepping Towards Success: Step 1 Guidance from Fourth-Year Students. Each workshop is led by current fourth-year students and focuses on a specific topic salient to Step 1. Each workshop is offered multiple times and is limited to 25 students per session. Topics include: Studying During the Academic Year, The Anatomy of Step 1 Questions, Examining Resources, and Using Your Block Study Time Effectively.

Third and Fourth Year Medical Students
The United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Step 2 assesses whether you can apply medical knowledge, skills, and understanding of clinical science essential for the provision of patient care under supervision and includes emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Step 2 ensures that due attention is devoted to principles of clinical sciences and basic patient-centered skills that provide the foundation for the safe and competent practice of medicine under supervision.
