Biography

My professional interests are focused on research and development projects related to (a) information modeling, capture, management, sharing and use in Electronic Health Record Systems and Public Health Information Systems; (b) development and deployment of health information technology (HIT) standards to enable systems interoperability; and (c) ensuring data quality and trust across healthcare, public health and research stakeholders, i.e., data creators and data users.  I conduct these projects through participation in the standards development organizations including Health Level Seven (HL7), Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 215 Health Informatics.
