Lynda Bardfield has been a leader in the field of social marketing and behavior change communication for over two decades. After crossing over from a career in commercial marketing as Senior Vice President, Creative Director for multinational advertising agencies, she began a long career collaborating with behavioral scientists and federal agencies in Washington DC. As a former Peace Corps volunteer fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, her cross-cultural leadership has spanned the globe and included award-winning campaigns in reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, violence prevention, nutrition, maternal newborn child health, tobacco control, and chronic disease prevention. She currently sits on the Editorial Board of the Social Marketing Quarterly and the Board of Directors of the Social Marketing Association of North America (SMANA). Applying private sector innovation and marketing skills to social issues and behavior change, Ms. Bardfield runs Creative Conscience, a social and behavior change consultancy, when she is not training the next generation of change agents at TUSM.
