Dear Students,

Given the evolving issues surrounding COVID-19, PHPD will continue offering courses in a remote format for the spring semester for both Public Health and MBS coursework. We are saddened that we will not be able to offer in-person courses and we were truly optimistic that the conditions that led to our fall remote offerings would have improved at this time. Our location in the heart of an urban center is one of the major considerations and we wish to continue effective social distancing and city-wide efforts to mitigate the effects of COVID-19. Our health, safety, and well-being, as well as that of others at Tufts and in our larger communities, are paramount. Nothing has been more important in our decision-making about our plans for the Spring. We continue to work with faculty to provide the highest quality remote teaching possible. We have always prioritized the close interactions between students and faculty and the active engagement of students in the classroom and we remain committed to offering opportunities and activities to build, foster and strengthen relationships. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions at this time. In addition, we will schedule a PHPD Town Hall in the very near future as an additional opportunity to share updates.

Sincerely,
