Research/Areas of Interest:
Acinetobacter are a group of Gram negative bacteria that cause a variety of diseases in health care settings. Acinetobacter baumannii is an emerging multi-drug resistant bacterium and accounts for 80% of Acinetobacter related infections. I am interested in understanding the development of antibiotic resistance and genomic evolution of A. baumannii using biology and bioinformatics tools.
