How memory is encoded, manipulated and stored in the brain forms one of the central questions in neuroscience. I am interested in the neuronal dynamics of memory encoding, consolidation and extinction. I will combine a series of experimental approaches including single-unit and local field potential recordings, optogenetics, viral tracing and parametric behavioral paradigm, to understand engram-related dynamics in trans-genetic mouse lines.
