Tufts University School of Medicine offers a MD/MPH dual degree program that can be completed in just four years, rather than the typical five years. The MD/MPH program at Tufts is designed to seamlessly integrate the Master of Public Health curriculum into the regular MD track. This means that dual degree students follow the same sequence as their traditional MD colleagues, ensuring a comprehensive and cohesive educational experience. By combining the clinical understanding gained through the MD program with a population-based perspective from the MPH program, you'll develop a dual viewpoint on health issues. Hear from a Tufts alum about their experience in the MD/MPH dual degree program.

I think it's critical to have public health training as a physician because it really helps you understand what are the different factors that might be driving your patients diseases and what are the resources available to help them cure after your intervention.
