Research/Areas of Interest:
Dr. Trotter has a robust community service agenda in the area of delivery of rehabilitation services to resource-limited countries, particularly Guatemala. She has led five service trips with clinicians, occupational therapy and physical therapy faculty and students annually to serve with Potter's House Association International. In 2019, she formed a 501 c3 nonprofit called Tesoro Project to further the community service agenda in Guatemala. Her scholarship agenda has been tied to her work in Guatemala, with several poster presentations at various national and international conferences. In 2018, she received a grant for $1037.02 to coincide with a study evaluating the effectiveness of pre-departure training for an Interprofessional Service-Learning experience. She has disseminated several products from this grant including a published paper with AMEE, and two conference workshops/presentations with IMSH on the subject of using simulation to help train for global health experiences.

Biography
Dr. Trotter serves as a Clinical Associate Professor and the Director of Student Affairs for Tufts Doctor of Physical Therapy Program-Seattle.
