Dorothy Todd Bishop Research Professorship

Join the School of Medicine on Wednesday, April 20 to celebrate Dr. Karl Munger’s appointment as the inaugural Dorothy Todd Bishop Research Professor! This professorship was made possible through an estate gift from Stephen L. Bishop, EG70, in honor of his late wife, Dorothy, and the excellent care she received from Tufts hematologist Jane Desforges, M.D., M45. The position supports a faculty member who conducts cancer research. An expert on viral cancers, Dr. Munger will give a lecture on “Human Papillomaviruses: From Warts to Cancer”. Julia A. Okoro Professorship in Black Maternal Health

Join the School of Medicine on Thursday, May 12 to celebrate Dr. Ndidiamaka Amutah-Onukagha’s appointment as the inaugural Julia A. Okoro Professor of Black Maternal Health! This professorship supports a faculty member studying Black maternal health and is named for Dr. Amutah-Onukagha’s grandmother, who was a midwife in Nigeria. Dr. Amutah-Onukagha will give a lecture on “Eliminating Maternal Health Inequities as Experienced by Black Women: The Time Is Now!”. Register here to attend in-person or via livestream.
