Pre-Med Ignite is an immersive learning and coaching program designed for rising second and third-year undergraduate students exploring careers in medicine and related healthcare fields.
Program Highlights
Learn from TUSM faculty and students about careers in medicine or related health care fields.
Gain hands-on experience with taking vital signs, intubation and more in our advanced clinical simulation center: The Camilla Bessey Thompson and Paul D. Thompson, M.D., Clinical Skills and Simulation Center
Receive coaching from a TUSM faculty member experienced in working with students pursuing careers in medicine or related health care fields.
Program Outcomes
By participating in the experiential learning and coaching provided through Pre-Med Ignite, we expect students will gain:
- insight into the experiences of TUSM students and professionals.
- clarity in their career goals.
- increased confidence in pursuing a career in medicine or related healthcare fields.
- a plan for the next steps in their educational and career path they develop with program staff and coaches.
- a network of peers with similar goals and aspirations!

Eligible students
- First and second-year undergraduate students (Rising second and third-years at program start)
- Must be over age 18
- On a pre-med track and/or interested in a career in medicine or related healthcare fields
