SPARCC-PT
Could SPARCC-PT be for you?
Would you like to meet physical therapists and experience real clinical and research environments?
Do you want mentors who can help you imagine and plan your next steps?
A pathway into physical therapy
SPARCC-PT stands for Student-Centered Pathway to Advance Research and Clinical Careers in Physical Therapy. The program introduces students from communities historically underrepresented in the profession to the many ways physical therapists improve lives. Participants learn by doing, build meaningful relationships with mentors, and gain practical guidance for college and health-professions careers.

Career exploration

Student Voice
My mentor was just the right person for me. She helped me build my confidence and motivated me to go for my goals even if I wasn’t too sure of it.
Student, Class of 2026
This program has given me clarity on what I want to do in college and the profession I plan on getting into. The hands-on activities also gave me exposure to physical therapy and helped me better understand what working in the profession could be like.
