Biography

Dr. Arons is a family doctor caring for patients of all ages, delivering patient centered preventive care, chronic disease management, women's health and office-based procedures in Jamaica Plain. She has worked in community health center settings for most of her career and regularly speaks Spanish (and occasionally Portuguese and French) with her immigrant patients.
Dr. Arons graduated from Yale University with a BA in Women's Studies with a concentration in Gender, Health and Science.  After several years pursuing other interests, she attended Yale School of Medicine and then completed her residency at Boston Medical Center.
In 2016, Dr. Arons spent a year working as a General Practitioner in a very remote rural part of New Zealand's South Island.
Dr. Arons is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine.
She is a member of the Admissions Committee and serves on the Global Health Council where she is the faculty lead for several global health rotations in Guatemala.
Dr. Arons has a special interest in mentoring students on an array of topics including but not limited to work life balance, starting a family during medical training, and international medical experiences.  Born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, she now lives in Cambridge with her husband and three teenage daughters.  When she is not seeing patients or teaching, she loves throwing functional ceramic pots on the wheel, knitting, reading novels, baking bread, hiking, and traveling for pleasure.
