Health Services Management & Policy

The Health Services Management and Policy (HSMP) concentration in the Tufts University MPH program is designed for students who want to improve the functioning of the health care system to promote individual and population health and equitable, patient-centered care delivery. Students become experts in health care systems and state and federal health policy, and build skills in health economics, policy analysis, health law, and health care management. Graduates often work in health care, government, policy and advocacy, or health care consulting. Grounded in core public health coursework, students in the HSMP concentration leverage their understanding of the health care system with critical public health frameworks to address disparities in access, affordability, and quality of health care and work to develop innovative solutions to the complex challenges facing the U.S. health care system.
