Research/Areas of Interest:

In the Poltorak lab, we use the genetically diverse mouse strain MOLF/Ei, as well as other wild derived mouse strains to study the innate immune system and cell death. More specifically, I am studying the effect of a mutant allele of STING found in MOLF/Ei mice that contributes to differential cytokine production. The use of genetically diverse mice will help to more realistically simulate the genetic diversity seen in the human population.
