Funding Opportunities for Neuroscientists
In addition to support from NIH and NSF, a number of organizations offer grant support for faculty and pre- and postdoctoral trainees who focus on neuroscience research.

A number of organizations offer grant support for faculty. Some organizations support only early career faculty and some organizations support work in particular areas. For example, the Nielsen Foundation is focused on spinal cord injury, the American Health Assistance Foundation supports Alzheimer's disease research and the Goldhirsh Foundation supports brain tumor investigations.
