Biography

Dr. Geck received his MD from the Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest and did postgraduate research under Dr Venetianer in a United Nation Development Programme fellowship. After postdoctoral studies at the University of Massachusetts, he became research faculty at Tufts University, where he joined the teaching faculty at 2009. His research interest includes the molecular and cellular biology of viral and hormonal cancers, as well as the molecular anatomy of human development. His research has resulted in patents for novel restrictases and a new stem cell differentiation gene in cancer. He established a new method to detect microchimerism in cancer and introduced a blood test for the detection of cancer metastasis. Dr. Geck's teaching experience includes lecturing molecular microbiology at the Semmelweis and UMass Medical Schools, and he is currently teaching Clinical Anatomy for medical, dental and PA students at Tufts.
