Karen Errichetti
Research/Areas of Interest
Dr. Errichetti's research centers on the evaluation and implementation of health programs in real-world settings, with a focus on improving health outcomes in communities that have historically been underserved or overlooked by traditional research. Her work spans health services research, implementation science, and applied evaluation, with particular expertise in integrated behavioral health models and safety-net systems.
A defining feature of her scholarship is its strong connection to practice. She has led and contributed to multi-site evaluations, state and territorial health assessments, and community health improvement initiatives, translating complex data into actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and community stakeholders. Her work in the U.S.-Mexico border region and U.S. territories has emphasized culturally responsive, partnership-centered approaches to evaluation and learning.
Dr. Errichetti also has a growing area of work at the intersection of data visualization and health equity. She focuses on how visual communication, dashboarding, and design choices influence how data are understood and used, and she develops tools and training to improve data accessibility across audiences. Her research aims to ensure that data not only inform decisions, but are usable and meaningful to the communities they are intended to serve.
