Research/Areas of Interest
My research work is based on glutamine synthetase (GS), an enzyme that is predominantly expressed in the astrocytes, which is involved in regulating the glutamate-glutamine cycle in the CNS. Through employing biophysical and immunohistochemical approaches, I am investigating the role of GS in supporting neurotransmission and its potential role in epilepsy.
