The 2019 Faculty Awards were presented at the annual Tufts Public Health and Professional Degree Programs Graduation Dinner.

Eileen O’Neil MPH Program Citation for Excellence in Teaching

Amy Lischko, DSc, MSPH
Associate Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine

This award has been established by the MPH Class of 1999 to commend one MPH Program faculty member for demonstration of a sincere concern for students, an ability to share knowledge effectively and a manner that inspires by example. 
 

MD/MPH & DVM/MPH Tracks Citation for Excellence in Teaching 

Marieke Rosenbaum, DVM, MPH, MS 
Research Assistant Professor of Infectious Disease and Global Health

This award was established by the MD/MPH Class of 1997 to commend one faculty member for demonstration of a sincere concern for students, an ability to share knowledge effectively and a manner that inspires by example. 
 

MS in Biomedical Sciences Program Citation for Excellence in Teaching

Grace Phelan, MS, RD, LDN, CNSC

This award was established by the MBS Students to commend one faculty member for demonstration of a sincere concern for students, an ability to share knowledge effectively and a manner that inspires by example.

This award was established by the MD/MBA Class of 2018 to commend one faculty member for demonstration of a sincere concern for students, an ability to share knowledge effectively and a manner that inspires by example. 
 

J. David Naparstek Community Mentor Award 

Noel W. Solomans, MD and Rosario García Meza, MA, MSc

This award is given annually to a public health professional who demonstrates a commitment to excellence through their work as practitioner and mentor. The award honors the contributions of David Naparstek who has consistently served the students of the MPH Program as a teacher, mentor and preceptor. 
 

Dean’s Award for Lifetime Excellence in Teaching

David Tybor, PhD, MPH, MS
Assistant Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine

This award was given for the first time in 2016 and was established by the students to honor faculty who have been consistently recognized for their commitment to excellence in teaching.
