Biography
As an educator at the Department of Medical Education I have been highly involved in integrating education into my professional activities. I teach graduate level courses such as translational pharmacology, clinical anatomy, histology, and medical research ethics. The courses involved are organized for medical students, dental students, PhD students, and master's students. I also serve in the thesis committee of the PhD students and mentor students in the MBS program. In addition, through my previous work in my thesis laboratory, I designed a project that sheds new light on the fate of alveolar epithelial cells in lungs in the alveolarization stage during hyperoxic injury and tests the role of ERBb4 receptors in surfactant production. During my work I developed an extensive experience in different laboratory techniques as well as the ability to hypothesize, set up methods and procedures used in collecting and analyzing measures of the variables specified in the research problem. Also collect and process data and make predictions of outcomes based on hypothesis.
