Biography
Christina Wisdom, PT, DPT, EdD is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Tufts University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program – Seattle. She holds board certification as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, with additional training in pelvic health and leadership development.
Dr. Wisdom's teaching portfolio spans a wide range of foundational and advanced topics, including musculoskeletal and medical conditions, therapeutic interventions, professional formation, and leadership. She is passionate about preparing future physical therapists for whole-person, evidence-informed care and advancing the profession through education that integrates clinical reasoning, collaboration, and wellness.
Her research explores the intersections of professional and leadership development in physical therapy, relational coordination and its impact on well-being and organizational culture, and strategies to enhance health and wellness among students, faculty, and clinicians. Dr. Wisdom's work has been presented at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
Clinically, Dr. Wisdom practices in a private outpatient orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy clinic in Kansas City, where she continues to treat a diverse caseload of patients. Her clinical practice informs her teaching and scholarship, ensuring relevance and depth in the classroom and beyond.
In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Wisdom is deeply involved in service to the profession. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including the APTA Academy of Physical Therapy Education and the APTA Academy of Oncologic Physical Therapy. She is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, reflecting her commitment to whole-person and preventive care.
