Student Wellness Staff
Sharon (Snaggs) Gendron
Director of Student Wellness
Sharon Snaggs Gendron serves as the Director for the Office of Student Wellness for Tufts University Health Sciences Campus. As the director, she oversees the development and implementation of wellness programming and resources to support all students. One of her main goals is to offer practical approaches for students to manage everyday stressors and challenges while they navigate professional school. In her role, Snaggs works with students to help them manage personal problems and situational crises effectively, learn strategies to cope with academic stress and develop self-awareness, personal responsibility, and skills to navigate the high and lows of life. She takes pride in creating safe spaces and opportunities for students to destress, create community, and have fun.
Snaggs holds a MSW degree from Salem State University and has been in her role at Tufts University since November 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running and other outdoor activities, hosting friends at her home, and thrifting. One activity that Snaggs cannot do often enough is to visit Ogunquit Beach in Maine. It reminds her of some of her favorite beaches in her native land, Trinidad and Tobago.
