The Tufts University Doctor of Physical Therapy programs offer hybrid learning experiences, combining synchronous and asynchronous virtual coursework with eight in-person clinical skills labs across our program locations: Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Phoenix, AZ, and Seattle, WA.

Atlanta
The Atlanta program offers a dynamic environment for hands-on training in a brand-new facility at Ponce City Market, one of the city’s most vibrant spots along the Atlanta BeltLine. With its blend of culture, innovation, outdoor recreation, and community, Atlanta provides an exciting backdrop for graduate study and professional growth. Students enjoy learning at the center of one of the fastest-growing healthcare regions in the U.S., connecting their training to real-world demand across diverse patient populations and care settings. Spanning nearly 27,000 square feet, the campus location is designed to support movement-based learning, collaboration, and the development of essential clinical skills, with a strong emphasis on exercise prescription as a cornerstone of patient rehabilitation. Through Tufts' partnership with ATI Physical Therapy, students will also benefit from a fully functioning clinic located adjacent to the learning space, creating a unique "learning lab" environment where they can observe and engage with live patient care during on-site clinical skills labs.
Boston
The DPT-Boston program spans the Tufts University Medford and Boston campuses, offering a diverse urban setting and access to leading hospitals and research institutions.
In Boston, students benefit from the vibrant academic atmosphere of one of the world's premier cities for medicine, science, and healthcare.
Enjoy a classic New England college environment while in Medford, with newly designed classroom and lab spaces tailored for DPT students.
Phoenix
Phoenix is a thriving, exciting, growing metropolis filled with some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious healthcare systems that has established itself as a major biosciences and medical education hub. It is centrally located, close to all that the region has to offer—lakes, deserts, and mountains. While in town, students enjoy new, state-of-the-art classrooms and lab spaces. Just a short walk from the DPT-Phoenix site is the Bioscience Core and the state-of-the-art Center for Simulation and Innovation, where Tufts students experience simulation-based education through a collaboration with the University of Arizona.
Seattle
Seattle is a dynamic, urban city surrounded by unmatched natural beauty. The region has a vast intellectual capital of researchers, scientists, doctors, and graduate students dedicated to innovation in health and wellness. DPT students when on campus enjoy new, state-of-the-art lecture and lab spaces designed to inspire and motivate. The campus location, local scenery, and proximity to nature contribute to a stimulating educational environment.

Whether you prefer the energy of a major metropolitan area, proximity to family, or a specific region of the country, each Tufts DPT campus offers a similar curriculum and the same academic standards, and commitment to student success.
When selecting a campus location, students should also consider travel and lodging plans for required on-site skills labs. Accommodations are not provided by the program. While Tufts shares recommendations and available options, students are responsible for arranging their own lodging.

Students in the Boston, Phoenix, and Seattle program attend 8 required on-site skills labs throughout the program plus graduation ceremonies. Atlanta students attend 10 on-site labs in addition to orientation and graduation. These experiences provide dedicated opportunities for hands-on learning, skill development, and connection with faculty and classmates.
