Stay tuned this week as we share these compelling stories and invite you to be a part of the Tufts PA community!

Why did you choose to pursue this degree?

"From a very young age, I have been interested in medicine. Due to my mother's multiple health conditions, I was involved in medicine early on. Through her medical journey, I met an incredible PA who validated our concerns and saw my mother as a person and not just another worried patient. That's when I decided I wanted to be a PA one day. Most importantly, I decided I want to be the type of provider that advocates for my patients, addresses their needs and concerns, and makes them feel cared for and heard."

Why did you choose Tufts to pursue your degree?

"Working at Tufts Medical Center I was able to meet PAs who were associated with the Tufts PA program or who graduated from the program and through their experience in the program I knew this was the program for me. Tufts is more than a PA program, it's a family."

What has your experience in the program been like so far?

"Despite how challenging Didactic year can be, I would say the last couple of months couldn't have been any better. From day one I felt welcomed and accepted. The staff is incredible and they go above and beyond for you."

What is your favorite aspect about the program?

"My favorite aspect of the program is how collaborative we are. We are all hardworking, supportive, and encourage each other to give our all."

What is your proudest personal accomplishment while at Tufts?

"I am extremely proud of the way I was able to adapt and find the right way to tackle the nine courses we take each semester. It wasn't easy at first, impostor syndrome is real, but I was able to move past that and accept that this is where I am meant to be. I am very thankful for the friends I have made in the program that remind me of this every time I doubt myself."

What do you want a prospective student to know about Tufts?

"Tufts is a great place. Once you're part of this program, you are part of a family. You will have some difficult times, but you have to always remember that you are more than capable of doing it."
