Biography
Dr. Pearman has been teaching graduate and undergraduate public health courses in higher education for over 30 years. He has served in roles as a faculty member, Internship Coordinator, and Chair in The Department of Health Sciences as well as Assistant Academic Dean at Furman University during his 25-year tenure, and more recently, he has served as a Professor and First Year Coordinator at Curry College. Dr. Pearman has received multiple awards for meritorious teaching and academic advising, and he has published over a dozen research articles in public health and exercise science journals as well as made over thirty professional presentations at academic meetings. He is an avid fan and academic nerd of The Ancient and Modern Olympics, and he was a torchbearer for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
