Biography

Dr. Kumar earned his DVM degree and worked on zoonotic diseases (e.g., bovine tuberculosis, rabies) in India, and completed an MS degree in anatomy. He taught at the Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria for 2 years and earned an MS degree in physiology from Kansas State University (KSU), and a Ph.D. in Neuroendocrinology from the University of Florida (UF). He published several papers on neuropeptide physiology, and 2 textbooks on carnivore anatomy, and currently working on an equine anatomy textbook. He taught histology, embryology, anatomy, and parts of physiology to DVM students in India, Nigeria, at KSU, UF, and at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine for a few decades and joined Tufts Medical School to teach anatomy to DMD and MD students since 2018.
