Biography

Dr. Suzanne Smith earned her MD at Trinity College Dublin School of Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. During her time at Trinity College Dublin, she was the lead Class Representative Liaison for the duration of the five year program where she worked closely with the Head of the School of Medicine and Director of Teaching and Learning on various academic and medical education affairs.

Previous education completed includes a Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts (Tufts MBS Program) and undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from the University of Vermont. In between programs, she worked at a Medical Technologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in immunopathology and the blood bank, respectively. She worked at a Medical Assistant in the Brigham and Women's Wound Care Center while completing her Master's Thesis on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome: its signs and symptoms and the relevant treatments.

Dr. Smith teaches in the Clinical Anatomy courses for TUSM, TUSDM, Physician Assistant Program, and MBS Program. She Co-Directs Clinical Anatomy for TUSDM and the Clinical Anatomy II for the Physician Assistant Program. Furthermore, she lectures in the MBS Pathology course and various histology lectures for TUSDM. She helped establish the Department of Medical Education Anatomy Committee and is currently a member of the PA Curriculum Committee, MBS Curriculum Committee, and MBS Admissions Committee.
