Tufts University Expands Now Offers JD/MPH Dual Degree with Suffolk Law School
Accelerated pathway offers legal and public health expertise with dual degree in just three and a half years.

Tufts University’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program is expanding its JD/MPH dual degree offerings in partnership with Suffolk University Law School. This innovative degree enables students to complete both a Juris Doctor (JD) and MPH degree in just three and a half years—significantly faster than the typical four and a half-to-five years if pursued separately.
The integrated curriculum enables students to take courses that count toward both degrees, streamlining their path to expertise in law and public health. By combining legal training with public health education, graduates will be prepared for careers at the intersection of public health law, policy, and advocacy.
The JD/MPH degree equips students with a unique skill set that is highly sought after in health care law, public health systems, and health equity, addressing complex legal and policy challenges.
