Biography

Moyo B. Tillery, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, serves as core faculty and Director of Admissions at Tufts DPT Boston. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2011. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Her clinical background is in adult outpatient orthopedics, specifically in the management of musculoskeletal occupational disorders. She is an APTA Level 2 Credentialed Clinical Instructor. She has previously served clinically as a Clinical Instructor and Regional Site Coordinator of Clinical Education, and administratively as Director of Clinical Education in physical therapy education. Dr. Tillery's professional involvement and service include active membership and leadership in APTA North Carolina, the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, the APTA Academies of Orthopedics and Education, and the National Association of Black Physical Therapists. Her additional areas of professional interest include mentoring underrepresented minority prospective and current DPT students, residents, and fellows, and advocating for direct access to primary care physical therapy services. Her areas of scholarly interest include occupational musculoskeletal disorders, diversity and representation in physical therapy, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and professional identity formation.
