Biography

Moyo B. Tillery, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, serves as core faculty at Tufts DPT Boston. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2011. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Her clinical background is in outpatient orthopedics, specifically in the management of musculoskeletal occupational disorders. She is an APTA Level 2 Credentialed Clinical Instructor. She has previously served clinically in the roles of Clinical Instructor and Regional Site Coordinator of Clinical Education, and administratively in physical therapy education as Director of Clinical Education. Her areas of scholarly interests include occupational musculoskeletal disorders, diversity and representation in physical therapy, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and professional identity formation. Dr. Tillery's professional involvement and service to the profession include Chair of the Student Scholarship Committee of APTA North Carolina, APTA Academies of Orthopedics and Education, the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, and the National Association of Black Physical Therapists. Her additional areas of professional interest include mentorship of underrepresented minority prospective and current DPT students, residents, and fellows and advocacy efforts related to direct access to primary care physical therapy services.
