Research/Areas of Interest:

My primary area of interest is in the regulation of cell polarity, a fundamental process required for the function of many cell types. Its misregulation frequently leads to developmental abnormalities and diseases such as cancer. We are using mouse models of kinesin motors and cargo cytoskeletal proteins to investigate the mechanism of intracellular trafficking, cell adhesion, and differentiation in both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells.
