Biography
Dr. Van Alstyne is the Director of Clinical Education for the DPT Program in Phoenix, AZ. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a Certificate in Interprofessional Education from Saint Louis University and was the inaugural graduate of the US Navy Sports Physical Therapy Residency. Dr. Van Alstyne is an ABPTS Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy and an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Prior to entering academia, she served in the US Navy as an accomplished clinician, leader, and mentor in the provision of direct access rehabilitation and human performance services both stateside and overseas. She received her honorable discharge and continues to serve in the reserves as a Lieutenant Commander today.
