Research/Areas of Interest
Corticotrophin releasing hormone (CRH) is classically released during stress to control the neuroendocrine stress response. Recently, CRH release has been observed in many areas of the brain outside of the endocrine system. I am studying the effects of stress and CRH on network communications in the basolateral amygdala (BLA) by looking for changes in BLA oscillations and anxiety-like behavior.
