Student Life Overview
Ask students what the community is like at Tufts School of Medicine, and you’ll hear things like friendly, collaborative, inclusive, and diverse. We pride ourselves on being a place where students work hard but always feel supported, where they’ll connect with classmates who become friends and colleagues for life.
Explore our urban campus
The Tufts School of Medicine is part of a Health Sciences campus that encompasses Tufts’ medical, dental, biomedical, nutrition, and public health programs. It’s a compact urban campus, with classroom buildings, labs, and research facilities all close together and easy to navigate.
Find your space, find your place
As a Tufts student you’ll work hard, which is why we offer a range of services and amenities designed to support a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Settle in for a bite at one of two campus cafes, work out at our fitness center, or get comfortable in one of our dedicated study spaces. We offer a range of ways to engage with our community, from becoming part of our Student Council, to joining or starting a student club, to volunteering in the community.
Boston: A world-class city
As a Tufts student you’ll study and learn in the heart Boston. Our campus is located in the city’s diverse Chinatown neighborhood, and just a short subway ride from a world of arts and culture, dining, and outdoor recreation. Boston is a small, navigable city with virtually unlimited opportunities to explore and unwind.
