MPH Concentrations

Concentrations within our Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Tufts University offer students the chance to delve deeper into specific content areas while refining their public health skills alongside the core MPH curriculum. With five distinct concentrations available, students can tailor their education to align with their chosen MPH option.

While the core MPH program provides foundational knowledge and skills for a well-rounded public health education, our concentrations offer a structured framework for students to deepen their expertise. This blend of core coursework and concentration-specific studies ensures graduates possess both comprehensive skills and specialized knowledge in their chosen field.

Please note that our Individualized concentration follows a generalist approach, where students complete the core curriculum then select their own electives, allowing them to shape their education according to their individual aspirations and interests.

For students pursuing an MPH alongside a JD, PA, MD, or DVM dual degree, concentration requirements are tailored to integrate both areas of study seamlessly. Additionally, students in the accelerated MPH program can choose between Epidemiology-Biostatistics or Health Services Management and Policy as their concentration.

With Tufts MPH concentrations, you can tailor your education to your unique interests and career goals, ensuring a rewarding and impactful public health journey.
