Out DPT programs offer the flexibility for students to complete their degree with more convenience than traditional programs. Hear from current student, Hardik Parikh, DPT22, about how the hybrid approach works for him.

Why did you choose to pursue this degree?
"I chose to become a physical therapist because I've always had a passion to help others. My first exposure to the field of physical therapy was when I tore my ACL playing Football in High School. My entire rehab team was amazing and their zeal and enthusiasm for their profession inspired me to pursue a career in physical therapy."

Why did you choose Tufts?
"I really like the hybrid format of the program. I have always been a self-paced learner and having a hybrid program allows me to set my own study schedule and learn at a pace that is comfortable to me. Also, Tufts is one of the most well-known academic institutions in the world and having access to their faculty has been very enlightening."

What has your experience it the DPT-Boston program been like so far?
"The Tufts hybrid program has been extremely rewarding. The benefit of having a hybrid program is that I can learn at my own pace. The entire faculty team, since the first day of orientation, has been extremely helpful and always places student success at the forefront of all of their endeavors. I've made connections within my cohort that I am sure will last long after graduation."

What is your favorite aspect about the program?
"I really appreciate how accessible everyone has been; from faculty to adjuncts to students. Everyone has developed a culture of supporting each other and its very easy to thrive such an environment."

What do you wish to accomplish upon graduation?
"I wish to complete a specialty residency upon graduation and get involved in research."

What do you want a prospective student to know about Tufts?
"The program, like all graduate programs, can be difficult at times. However, if you utilize the support of the faculty and your cohort, this program will be one of the most rewarding experiences.."
