Research/Areas of Interest:
Dr. Dickson is a productive education researcher. Her prior and current research areas include the impacts on higher education policy on the production and funding of research endeavors and the impacts of faculty and curriculum development on student learning. Recent areas of study include cultural safety, assessment of interprofessional education programs, the financial literacy of physical therapy students, and stress associated with student loan debt. She is also versed in the use of item response theory, event history analyses, and the analysis of time-series data.

Biography
Dr. Dickson serves as the Director of Clinical Education of the Tufts DPT--Phoenix program. She is certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and completed an orthopedic physical therapy residency. She earned the first-ever scholarship funded through the Education Endowment Fund from the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research in 2019. She serves nationally on the Education Research Committee for The American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT), as well as a Task Force lead for the National Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Commission (NEDIC).
