Tufts School of Medicine Resident-As-Teacher Resources & Guide

Interns, Residents and Fellows ("Residents") are the primary teachers of medical students during the core clerkships, acting internships and elective rotations. The Office of Educational Affairs has created a Resident-As-Teacher Guide that provides an introduction to key medical educational concepts and corresponding practical tips (see list of content below). The concepts and practical ideas illustrated, based on a summary of relevant educational literature and the designer’s insights, are applicable across disciplines. The guide was distributed to Tufts University School of Medicine teaching hospitals via academic deans, directors of GME offices and clerkship directors.
